Luminaire Smart Homes has been in business for 18 years, but the company got its start as an electrical contractor. It wasn’t until 2017 that they decided to get into the custom integration business, and since then, it’s only taken off.
Based in Garden City, Idaho, the five-person outfit has made it their mission to help customers make their lives at home the most enjoyable possible.
As a Control4-certified Showroom, Luminaire’s physical presence features the latest in smart home and audio and video technology. The showroom allows potential clients to experience a fully loaded automation and entertainment experience that’s second to none. The space includes all the expected bells and whistles – multi-room distributed audio, smart lighting, intuitive touchscreen interfaces, a premium home theater, automated security solutions and a rock-solid network that powers the whole experience.
In Oasys, Luminaire Smart Homes found a home that could benefit their business in more ways than one.
“More than the 2 to 4 percent VRs was the appeal of being a part of a member network with so many likeminded people,” says David Foster, owner of the company. “It’s such a tremendous benefit to be able to lean on other professionals in this space who have experience and who bring so much knowledge to the table. We’re always looking to learn and grow as a company, so to be able to tap into the Oasys network is such an important thing for us.”
And in its relatively brief stint in the CI business, Luminaire has already had some major wins as a company. Among them, they sold the first pair of the iconic flagship Kef Blades in the state of Idaho to a client of theirs in Boise, and they are currently working on one of the largest residential projects in the Treasure Valley.
