Happy New Year, everyone! We hope you had a wonderful holiday and that 2025 is off to a fantastic start. There’s a lot going on at Oasys – new programs, services, and industry updates are on the horizon. As I write this, I’m still recovering from my time out at CES in Las Vegas, where our team got a sneak peek at exciting new features and technology coming in the weeks and months ahead.
AI was everywhere at CES, showing up in nearly everything we saw. Some of the AI tools look truly transformative, promising to reshape our daily routines and make life easier. Others, in my opinion, are more like gadgets or novelties and likely won’t be all that useful to most of us or our clients.
Here are just a few key takeaways:
Samsung: You’ll see new, larger panel sizes from Samsung in 2025, and they’ll also be bringing their reduced glare screen technology to additional models this year. We’ll also see new Frame Pro models with increased resolution and, of course, new AI features. All told, the 2025 Samsung lineup looks strong. Also of special note, the Samsung commercial and hospitality line is now available from O’Rourke Sales. Onkyo: The Onkyo team showed their new line of Icon amps and preamps, and I was impressed! Drawing on their heritage of high-quality amplification, the line is strong and loaded with features. Premium Audio Company will have them on hand at the Oasys Summit in Indianapolis this May for you to demo.
AWALL: AWALL showed their new line of MicoLED panels with both 1.25MM and 0.9mm pixel spacing in a 75” cinemascope and an 81” 16:9. What stood out most, aside from the impressive technology, was the very sellable price points these products carry! You will also see AWALL at the Oasys Summit this May.
The moving doesn’t stop, either. This week we were on the ground in Dallas for the latest edition of Lightapalooza. We’ll have a full report for next month’s newsletter, but needless to say, this event has become an important one for the industry.
Some program updates to be aware of: We have several new programs for 2025; Lea Professional Amps, OneVision, and ICE Cable are the first three new programs out of the gate for 2025. We’re working on several others, and we’ll keep you posted. We’ll be sending out the updated program book in the coming weeks and are in the process of finalizing all the 2025 programs. However, some of the programs require us to have the final 2024 numbers so we can set the new VR goals for 2025, so be patient with the process.
