Examples of Recent Knight Integration Projects
Home Entertainment & Family Room
Knight Integration recently completed a comprehensive home entertainment and system upgrade for a client, providing pre-wiring, installation, and programming across multiple rooms. The scope of work included:
- Home Theater & Billiards Room Setup: The team relocated equipment, installed a new AVR, and connected client-owned in-ceiling speakers to allow streaming music and audio playback for projection screen sources. They updated the Crestron, configured speaker settings, set up zone controls, and integrated DirectTV with custom programming for seamless operation. The system also included a new user interface for easy control.
- Family Room & Lower Level: A new projector, cables, and AV receiver were installed, with the equipment head-end relocated for efficient management. All wiring was organized and labeled, ensuring a tidy setup. The client now controls the system through the Crestron remote and app for both video and audio selection.
This project, valued at $15,000, was completed with careful testing and attention to detail, ensuring all systems were operational. Knight Integration’s dedicated approach delivered outstanding results, exceeding client expectations and ensuring top-notch system performance.
Active Threat Lockdown System
System in the Emmetsburg Community School District. Superintendent Cory Jenness of the Emmetsburg Community School District came to Knight Integration to provide what is believed to be the state of Iowa’s very first installation of a Haven Lockdown active intruder preventative solution across all school campuses. This proactive step reinforces the district’s unwavering commitment to creating a secure learning environment for students, teachers, and staff.
“Student safety is our top priority at Emmetsburg CSD. The Haven Lockdown system adds an essential layer of protection, ensuring our students and staff feel secure and can focus on their education. Thanks to the SLFRF School Safety Improvement Grant, we’ve been able to implement this and other crucial security upgrades, including new cameras, door alarm sensors, and a district-wide communication system.”

The installation included the deployment of 98 Haven Lockdown devices across three buildings. Each classroom and office door has a Haven Lockdown lock installed for the door, request to exit motion, egress button, and lockdown button. With the addition of monitoring tools for their existing network, Knight Integration is now able to get notifications if a device falls offline, and can notify the school so they can take action. There is also an app that the faculty can use to lockdown each door and get event status when a specific door goes into lockdown functionality. This provides a quick notification and response to the faculty when a lockdown event takes place.
This project was all hands-on deck for the staff at Knight. Brady, Ryan, three technicians, and even their business administrator Jenna Enderton took part in the deployment and orientation of the system.
