For over two decades the eight-person team at Home Definition, Inc., has served clients in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, providing expert advice and fulfilling all their integration needs. The company has established itself as the go-to source for all things home theater, structured wiring, whole home audio and video solutions, networking, and home automation.
Beyond just installing these solutions, Home Definition has truly separated itself by remaining true to its commitment that all projects result in reliable and easy-to-use systems for the customer.

In an effort to boost those efforts and their business, Home Definition made the decision to join Oasys just a little over two years ago. The decision, Rechnagel said, was driven by multiple factors, but namely the eXchange platform, which has given them access to a wider swath of product on an as-needed basis – a major benefit for a company that relies on buying direct and per project so they’re not having to warehouse items.
In addition, the education, networking and product programs play a big part in their decision to engage with the group. All three of those things came together recently during a trip to Tokyo where Home Definition had the opportunity to visit Sony headquarters.“Sony chose dealers that support the entire line of the brand, AVR’s, TV’s, Projector’s, soundbars, etc. Home Definition has supported the entire line for many years, as it is a phenomenal product as is the support we receive from Sony and its reps,” says Rechnagel. “It was a wonderful experience to see the Sony facility and speak with some of the engineers that design the products. It was incredible to see the process these engineers go through to make sure the product performs to the highest standards. I am honored to have been given the opportunity to be selected for this once in a lifetime experience. Everyone with Sony was very welcoming and took great interest in the dealers feedback. I was amazed at how clean Toyko was for such a large city and grateful for the hospitality that we all received.”
